Why is therapy so important?

Two sisters in Baja are an example of why access to therapy is so important. Kenia and Stephany arrived at an orphanage, and asked to work with a therapist on improving their relationship. They fought constantly from the situation back at home. After several sessions together, they began to see improvements. Today, you can find them sitting on a patio together making jokes and genuinely happy to be around each other. This could have never been possible if they didn’t have access to a therapist.

Why are tutors so important?

One of our volunteers shared a story on how access to tutors has been a blessing for the children: “Recently some of the children started working with math tutors. Their math teacher, Julio goes to the orphanage twice a week to advise them, provide reinforcement, and to help them where they need help with the material. Math is already a difficult subject to understand, but the fact that the kids are taking classes online makes it a little more complicated to understand everything and  get answers to their questions. Julio is strict, but kind. The kids are very happy and motivated to take his class. They now feel more prepared to resolve mathematical problems in their normal classes.”

Fund Caregivers, Mentors, Tutors & Therapists

Every donation is an investment in a child’s future. These funds will be used for things like therapy, tutoring, mentorship, and caregiver support– all vital to the growth of a child who’s been through trauma and neglect.

As always 100% of your donation goes to kids.
