Join us for a special trip to Uganda & Kenya!

We want to show you how our Thrive Program is impacting children’s homes through partner organizations and help you see how you can get involved! Check out this video on YouTube to learn about the impact the Thrive Program is making in Uganda.

Both Ends Believing in Mbarara, Uganda

Child in Family Focus in Nairobi, Kenya

We hope to introduce you to each team so they can show you the incredible work they’re doing. We also plan to spend time participating in some local tourist activities.

Trip Fee

Currently the trip fee is estimated at $2,200 USD and will cover lodging, dinners, in-country transportation, some tourist activities, and costs associated with service projects or material donations to orphanages. All other costs such as flights, visas, vaccinations, breakfasts, lunches, souvenirs, and other optional activities will be the responsibility of the participant.

Flights

**DO NOT PURCHASE FLIGHTS UNTIL ADVISED BY A CHILD’S HOPE**

Before flights are purchased, we will need to reach a threshold of registered participants and will advise you as soon as you may purchase a flight. Please note that flights are not included in the trip fee and will cost roughly $1900 USD per person (one RT flight to Kenya and one RT flight from Kenya to Uganda).

Volunteers will arrive in Nairobi, Kenya no later than 5:00pm on Friday, October 18 and schedule a departure flight from Nairobi, Kenya no earlier than 10:00pm on Saturday, October 26. This is the schedule most volunteers will be following, but you are welcome to arrive earlier or leave later and will be expected to make those arrangements on your own. Additionally, another round-trip flight between Kenya and Uganda will occur during the trip. We will provide the specific flight for purchase after registration and participant threshold has been reached.

Vaccinations & Visas

Please note that this trip will require trip volunteers to obtain certain vaccinations as well as apply for an East African Visa. You will be provided with additional information regarding these items after registration.
