A Child’s Hope Foundation understands how vital quality training is to aid in personal development and helping us better serve the kids we love. Whether it be caregivers, social workers, management staff, therapists or others working with children, ongoing training is necessary for continued improvement.
Types of Trainings
ORGANIZATION PROVIDED TRAINING:
This is a training that is provided by your organization to beneficiaries.
Attend a Training:
This is when you are hoping to attend a training provided by another entity.
Eligibility Guidelines
1. A Child’s Hope Training Grants are intended to benefit the welfare of orphaned and vulnerable children. If this training doesn’t benefit children, this application cannot be considered.
2. A Child’s Hope Training Grants are for those who are active members of the Thrive Collective.
3. A Child’s Hope prioritizes training that is provided by a local trainer in the native language of the trainees.
4. A Child’s Hope training Grants should be utilized within 6 months of approval.
5. A Child’s Hope Training Grants should provide training to more than one individual, even if that means that one individual bring the training back to other beneficiaries (i.e. an Orphanage Director receives training that they then pass to caregivers)
6. A Child’s Hope Training Grants should not be used to cover 100% of all training fees. We prefer that some finances are provided by the partner organization or other partner to help illustrate diverse buy-in and commitment. There is no specific cost split required, just a demonstration of other financial investment.
Following the training, grant recipients will receive a mandatory report form to gather needed documentation and reporting. The form will include the following:
1
Expense Report upload
2
Receipts upload
3
A REQUIRED SUMMARY OF the training's SUCCESS and/or how the training received will benefit others
4
statistical questions to help us quantify the impact of the training grant program
A Child’s Hope generally reviews/approves training grants up to $3,000. A Child’s Hope approves or denies grants based on funds available, past reporting, demand, and other circumstances that may change year to year. Training Grants are typically set up as reimbursement, where receipts and a basic expense report is provided and A Child’s Hope reimburses within 7 days.
