Staff Trip

Trip Overview

Reserved trip: Volunteers can only sign up if they are A Child’s Hope staff and have been invited to join this trip. 

All employees, volunteers and interns are invited to attend as well as a plus one.

You will need to get yourself to San Diego by 1 PM on Thursday, August 1st and we will cross the border back into San Diego as early as we can on Sunday, August 4th. A group van traveling from San Diego to Mexico back to San Diego may be an option on this trip if enough staff request one. Traveling in the group van costs an additional $125 per person. A carpool is also an option for travel, please contact Meredith if you are interested in a carpool.

We will be visiting a new home and are putting together an activity for all the niños and their caregivers within the Baja region.

DISNEY ADD-ON: Elyse and Meredith will be driving to Anaheim on Sunday, July 28th. Monday, July 29th will be a Disney day; Tuesday, July 30th will be a beach/work day; Wednesday, July 31st will be another Disney day. We have a fabulous vacation property booked. There is also an option for you to just do Disney on Wednesday if you want to travel later. We need to know if you are coming with us no later than June 1st. This will cost approximately $600 for 2 – Day Disney Parkhopper tickets and lodging. Travel and Food not included. Please Contact Meredith for more information and to get your spot reserved.

Service trips hosted by A Child’s Hope Foundation are meant to provide the opportunity to serve, create meaningful connections, and support the children’s homes and children that we work with. Trip projects are determined with the Home Directors.

Most of the manual labor performed on your trip will focus on the maintenance and upkeep of functioning homes, not building from the ground up (though some trips may take on that challenge).

Everyone 16+ must have a valid passport.

Trip Cost:

Your trip payment covers:

  • Lodging
  • Meals (dinner on first night – dinner on last night)
  • Project Costs
  • A Child’s Hope T-Shirt


Your payment does not include (but you should bring some extra money along for):

  • Meals during travel
  • Snacks and souvenirs
  • Transportation costs (a group van is available for $125/person upon request)
Final payments will be due 3 months before the trip.
