Volunteering Makes a Difference

A Child's Hope Foundation gives volunteers a unique opportunity to work one on one with the children and staff of adoption orphanages in developing countries. Through this life-changing experience, a "spiritual" awakening takes place in both the volunteers and the children. In addition to helping build orphanages, plant gardens, and maintain the facilities, volunteers offer loving support. Infant children feel loved through the personal interaction and affection of our volunteers. Volunteers are the key to our success and make a real difference in the lives of the children they serve.

Ways to Get Involved

There are two ways to get involved:

The most important thing you can do to help is travel to attend one of our scheduled work projects in a developing country. You will travel to an orphanage and help with construction projects as well as spend time and play with the children. This is a great activity for individuals, families (including youth and mature children), or groups of friends together. Your time spent volunteering will likely be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.

Our work projects often fill up a year in advance, so it's best to plan ahead! Although we cannot always accommodate requests, you can contact us about scheduling a new event for your group of 30 or more. We will do our best to schedule around your needs where possible. Please check our blog for some of the stories and photos from past work projects. If you would like to learn more about how you can get involved, please read our page about how to apply and check which of our upcoming projects have openings.

If you are unable to travel for a work project, you can still make a difference by volunteering locally. You can organize an event with friends and family collecting donations, packing, sorting, inventorying, making goods such as blankets and diapers, or holding fundraising events. Learn More.
